What a fun day. It was cold and rainy just like it was ten years ago.
We celebrated it like most couples do.
Bryan went to work early, and got home just in time to get a quick bite to eat, jump into his suit, and head to the church by 7pm for another 3 hours of service.
But before he left for work at 6:30am, he did manage to whisper some sweet nothings into my ear. "Honey, I am on my last pair of underware. Were you planning on doing laundry today?" So
I spent the day collecting, sorting, cleaning, and folding the mountains of laundry that had been accumulating from the past two weeks. I can't remember what had happened the weeks before, that had led up to the house work being neglected for so long. Unfortunately the kitchen and bathrooms were also in need of some attention. There was no time for a shower. Callie played in the wet sand outside and I just didn't get around to putting another outfit on her yet.
Bryan did get sentimental with the girls during the few minutes he was home between work and church. He asked the girls if they wanted to have me try on my wedding dress.
So here we are in the above picture. Me with no shower, my wedding dress on, but not zipped up in the back because of an expanded ribcage after having babies, Callie in a diaper, and all of us standing in the only clean room in the house.
Even though that was one more thing to add to my list of things to clean up and put away, it was fun to do because it made me take a moment to look back on how far we have come over those last ten years. We are so grateful for everything and know we are blessed to even have those messes to clean up.
It makes me think back to the summer of 1994, before I had even met Bryan. The only thoughts that occupied my mind were........
"I've been dreaming of a True Loves Kiss!"
(Yes, that is me on top of the bridge, in the middle, in Central Park.)

I love how husbands whisper sweet nothings in your ears such as asking when you're going to be washing whites again...and in the politest way possible because we already had planned on doing laundry that day anyway. :)
You look great in the dress...I hope that I fit into mine in 10 years. I guess we'll see.
Sometimes wedding anniversaries kinda get lost in our busy lives. Kids make it harder to go somewhere but not impossible to do.
I can't tell you how glad I am that you're my SIL!! Hey, when you get a chance, can you come over and help me with my laundry :)
Too funny. You look amazing. I am so glad you are a blogger, you need to post some Halloween pictures.
Hmmmmm! Do I dare throw another challenge out to the BFC family? How lucky are you two. OK here it goes reply with in 3 days and you guessed it winner winner chicken dinner!
No deal!
DANG!!!!
Just checking! It is time for your yearly post!!!
You guys are horrible. I was mildly optimistic that you'd have a new post up by now. Shame, shame!!
So it looks like you still haven't posted. So I will let everyone know a little about what is going on in your life.
Bryan and Patricia are busy with the tours of the new Oquirrh mountain Temple in South Jordan. Patricia is busy helping with the tours. Bryan is busy sneaking on to the tours.
They have been busy doing yard work, and decorating there basement.
Things have been a little crazy at work for Bryan and he has not been able to see all the newly released movies. Hopefully he will be able to catch up.
Kendra watched the girls the other night and Corinne had a wiggly tooth. Kendra told her to pull it out on the count of three. Kendra counted to three and Corinne pulled out the tooth. Corinne then told Kendra that she should be a doctor. (look out Uncle Andrew)
Corinne came in all worried after Kendra put her to bed, and said what if the tooth fairy takes my tooth before I can show it to my mom and dad. Kendra assured her that she would have her parents wake her up when she got home.
Callie is also pretty entertaining. Her favorite thing to do is yell hi to everyone at the grocery store. Then she keeps yelling hi until she is acknowledged. This is one little girl that likes to have your undivided attention. She is so darn cute that she is pretty used to getting what she wants.
Well the other thing that Bryan and Patricia are really, really, really excited to announce is that they.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................got really good tickets for George Straight. Yea!!!!
They will be attending this concert in July and Bryan is really excited. We are so glad that Patricia supports Bryan and his man crush for George. I only wish that they could have gotten a ticket for me, because I really wanted to go. (No really I do, is it to late?)
Well that is all for now. Reply with in 3 days, and you know the drill dinner is on us!!!! Red Lobster is sounding good!!!
Opps I really should have read that huge comment before posting it. There are a few type-o's . Is that how you spell type-o?
You only have one more day!!! Good Luck!!!!!!
Sorry it looks like it is a no go!!!
Thanks for the update, Jenny!
So....any pictures on your 11th wedding anniversary? Just checking.
Can't wait for our next girls' night!
